A few nice digital camera tutorial images I found:

Playground Clone of 15 Amanda’s

I was lucky having one Amanda. Fifteen is amazing.

I love my wives.

Well. Here’s the quick tutorial.

1) Put the camera on a tripod and use a remote to release the shutter.
2) Turn the "auto power off" feature off.
3) Think the shot over and be ready to do it quick so light doesn’t change.
4) Take all the shots you need of different placements of the clone.
5) Bring all layers into one Photoshop document and be sure they are all centered on the document to be sure they are aligned.
6) Start from the bottom up masking away everything but the clone. You can erase but masking allows tweaks later, which is a better practice.
7) Do any color/levels/curve adjustments needed. Save and export your TIFF/JPG.

Harris Shutter Water Drop

I used 3 images from my library to create this "Harris Shutter" effect following a tutorial in this month’s Digital Camera Magazine.

Will be having another go using a wider shot of a glass and water but quite happy how this turned out

Warm Evening Light at Jupiter Inlet

A friend texted me yesterday evening and told me there was a rainbow over my house. When I step outside to check it out, I was awestruck. The evening light was completely orange, giving everything a beautiful warm glow. I couldn’t let this moment pass so I ran inside to grab my camera and drove off to find something to shoot. I decided to go to the Jupiter Inlet since most of the clouds were in that direction. Plus I was hoping to get a shot of this dead tree that I wanted to reshoot. By the time I got there, the light was pretty much gone and the rain got worse, so I didn’t stay long. I hurried up and got a few shots in before it really started to poor. This was the best composition I managed to get. Notice the warm light, I even pulled the temperature down as far as I could! That’s how warm that light was.
