What are the best picture editing websites available online?

I got asked this question a few days back while meeting with a client who wanted to edit some photographs for a personal blog. It took me a while to respond, mainly because I didn’t have an answer, so I set about finding some free picture editing websites online, that can be used by anybody. Below is a review of some of the best picture editing websites that I came across.

Picture 2 Life

Picture 2 Life allows you to edit, collage, animate and share photos/pictures online for free. Its a powerful, but simple and easy-to-use online image editor which also allows you to create collages and animated gif’s. You can upload your own images, or find images which you already have online in your social accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter.

Picture 2 Life includes a feature packed, AJAX-styled*, intuitive, user interface, which allows you to preview effects before applying them. They have over 50 different, fully customizable, effects and adjustments for you to choose from and with their unique one-click technology, its even easier to find something really cool to apply to your picture.

Picnik

Picnik makes your photos fabulous with easy to use yet powerful editing tools. Tweak to your heart’s content, then get creative with oodles of effects, fonts, shapes, and frames.

This free online software is one of my favourite picture editing websites, with a range of different effects and filters that help bring your pictures to life.

Picnik is free to use, with no registration required to start editing photos. You can upload images from your computer, or use your social accounts such as Flickr, Facebook and Twitter to browse and upload images.

FotoFlexer

FotoFlexer is a fun yet powerful online picture editor. Most of the tools are for creating fun changes to photos, and users can easily pull and push photos to social networks like Facebook, MySpace and Flickr. But it’s also a serious editing tool, that has similar features to Photoshop, allowing more advanced users to produce professional images online.

FotoFlexer is ideal for the young audience looking to add a bit of fun to their photographs before sharing with friends or family. You can easily integrate FotoFlexer with your Facebook and other social accounts.
