In this review of Photo Editor X I will outline the pro’s and the con’s of this popular photo editing software so that you can make an informed decision regarding making a purchase.
Photo Editor X Review Point #1 – Price Versus Quality
When it comes to buying photo editing software the first thing that you will notice is that there is a wide range of pricing. You can spend anywhere from all the way up into the thousands. Adobe Photoshop CS5 can run you an easy ,000 brand new. So how do you know which one you should buy? Well, you have to decide which features are the most important to you. In review of Photo Editor X, one thing that I noticed that set it apart from other software programs was that it offered a large amount of features for a low price. With a price tag of around it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended Version but it does give you the ability to do the basic things like remove red eye or change the background as well as do the more advanced things like work with layers and channels. For the price point that Photo Editor X is at, it’s list of features is quite impressive. So, in my opinion, a lower price does not equate to lower quality or less features.
Photo Editor X Review Point #2 – Usability and Interface
One of the problems that you may run into when determining which photo editing program will work best for you is in regards to usability. If you are a professional then you want big features and big tools and if the interface has a bit of a learning curve then that may not be a big deal for you. If you are a novice, however, you want to enhance your photos without needing to get a degree in graphic design. The usability and interface, in my opinion, are the biggest highlights for Photo Editor X. You get the features of a professional photo editing software suite with a user-friendly interface. Anyone who has used Adobe Photoshop or Gimp knows that some photo editing programs can be tricky to learn. Photo Editor X not only has an easy to use interface, but the program comes with over 3 hours of video tutorials as well.
Photo Editor X Review Point #3 - Compatibility
An important factor that should be considered when purchasing any photo editing software is cross compatibility. As you work on different projects you may need to use files that are in different formats from the native file format of your photo editing program. It’s important that your photo editor can work with a broad range of file types in order to prevent any disruptions in your workflow. One thing that I noticed about Photo Editor X is that it is compatible with a wide range of file types including Photoshop CS files and Dreamworks files. In fact, I couldn’t find a single file type that Photo Editor X was not compatible with.
