Are you doing the project as part of a school or degree course? If so you may be able to get hold of some very nice microscopes (especially if you’re at a university with a science faculty) with camera attachments. I say this because without a specialist microscope (something that may cost £100,000) you would have to rely on the technique of digiscoping (sticking your camera lens up against the eyepiece) which is somewhat challenging to get right, and the quality can often be questionable.
My point is if you have the resources make use of them. Secondly I’d also like to ask you what you are trying to photograph, because you will use different types of microscope for different things.
