I’m offering a wedding photography service, and I’m trying to make my advertising strategy as effective as it can possibly be.
If you were in the market to hire a wedding photographer, where would you be most likely to look for adverts?

I’d probably look on the internet. I’m in the UK and I often use a website ‘upmystreet.com’ where you type in your postcode and which service you want (e.g. bouncy castles, hairdressers etc) and it brings up your nearest ones.

Wow! This is 1 special chair and definitely NOT for the faint of heart! For sale is a wonderful vintage chair that is so fabulous I find it a bit hard to find the words. Made in 1964, this amazing high back throne arm chair is upholstered in a silk? fabric with amazingly vibrant Mandarin orange damask pattern over orange / rasberry red background. In other words, the background color is shiny and looks either orange or rasberry red depending on which way the light is hitting it.

This is for aracay‘s fun new let it slide group. Go here to watch a slide show of my faves, or here to see the picture above (due to Funny Fish).

I really like the slideshow feature in Flickr, and watching other people’s faves never ceases to amaze me. There may be a few I’ve seen (and even a few I’ve faved myself), but there are always so many great shots that I’ve never seen. I feel like I should just fave them all, but I know that I can’t.

It would be fun to make some sets specifically for their slide show quality (like this neat set from aracay), but I’m quite sure I don’t have time for that right now :-) .

hey can anyone help me, does anyone know how to make their own picture slide show. i don’t have any special programs on the computer and i don’t want to have to pay for new programs either. i also want to be able to save my slide show of images onto a memory stick to use ina psychology lesson. any ideas? thanks xx

A lot of editing via my iPhone/iPad… It almost seems odd to me, but I know absolutely nothing about photoshop or photo manipulation outside of these nifty 1-3 dollar apps available for editing on my iPhone… :)

Silver & AG Girl on Ladder — Final

If you looked at the previous image, you know I did some editing on this picture. Without editing, this is two of my eight kitties when they were only a about six months (I think). I have never again seen my kitty (or any cat) stand with its legs crossed like Silver is doing in this shot. The combination of poses here from AG Girl (Army Guard Girl) and Silver Heels reminds me of a photo studio pose of a lady with her man behind her.

Oh, and the image behind them is actually what you would see out our front window, not the side window the ladder was actually sitting in front of. (And yes, it is a regular wooden ladder, but I stapled cat bedding on and between the steps to create mini hammocks that my kitties really like.)
