Smashed the screen on my camera, where could I get it fixed in Belfast or is cheaper to buy a new one?

It depends, but if your ok with taking thigs apart then you can buy new screens on ebay for various makes of camera.

I think you can try to fix it by yourself first, buy a lcd replacement from ownta.com,

You can also buy a opening tool from them, then, it will help you to open and replace the lcd. Fix it by yourself can save your money.

Almost certainly will cost as much to replace screen as it would to buy a whole new camera.
So unless you have some sort of accidental damage insurance just buy a new camera.

Buy a new one.
The cost to have your camera repaired is worth more than a new one.
