I was going to suggest the Canon EOS450D, its the camera I use and it produces some quality images. Only thing I would suggest is buying the body and getting a different lens as the ones they supply aren’t very good quality. It costs just £449 at Jessops for the body alone and is worth every penny.

What do you think? Answer below!

    I’d say the Olympus E420
there are a few different kits going at the moment however, i’d recommend the 2 lens kit.

    you get the camera and 2 lens (14 – 42mm and 40 – 150mm) all for around £430.

however, if you search the product on http://www.pricerunner.com then you may find it cheaper (see link below)

canon, i thought u wanted a professional camera…… get a nikon…..any nikon DSLR camera is professional nikon pro photographers all around the world use the nikon d40 or d60 and there both prices reasonable…

    Nikon d40 or d60.

    ha ha ha ha.

Those models are a joke and the only people who buy them know nothing about photography but think they are top notch pro’s because they own one.
Cheap, plastic, limited function toys. Thats all they are.

You are obviously blinkered because you use a 450d at uni.
There are other makes/models out there but it will be a waste of time trying to explain all the pros and cons.

    Good luck with your photography.

Many people have a preference for either Nikon or Canon.
The type of camera you use depends very much on the sort of work you do, the camera does not make the professional it’s they work that they sell.
How a camera feels in your hands and if you can carry it all day is important, it is after all only a working tool.
During your working life you will change your camera quite often and use many even on the same shoot.

    that not a pro camera.
I have used it in manual settings and the camera still interferes with what Im trying to shoot and how Im glad I didn’t buy one..

umm http://www.hasselblad.co.uk/ have professional cameras, but then its down to what you are doing and need.

the good thing about the cameras is that you can upgrade these were as SLR’s you cant do so much with them as they will always be the same body and sensor and you may regret in the long run or even the short run limiting your self with a camera you select.

One of my fav cameras is the Fuji S3 pro, its a bit old but take digital images like a film camera and even by today’s standards the tech is still very advanced but you may want to go for the S5 Pro.

Dont forget the rest fo the kit that you will need! flashgun, strobes, meters, lenses, fliters, props, tools, etc etc
