Best Photo Editing Software – What Photo Editing Features are the Most Important to You?

If you are searching the internet for the best photo editing software then the first thing that you have to decide is what photo editing features are the most important to you? There are a number of photo editing software programs out there and if you don’t know what features you will be using the most then you will have trouble choosing the best photo editing software for your particular needs. The photo editing software programs available today are incredibly robust and are full of features that you can use to enhance your digital photography. You will use some of those features more than others. The only way to know which photo editing software program is best for you is to pinpoint the features appeal to you the most.
Before you purchase photo edting software you should keep in mind that Windows offers a standard, and very basic photo editing program. Newer versions of Windows come with Photo Gallery which offers basic photo editing capabilities with features that allow you to adjust the brightness, contrast, and color of photos as well as remove red eye.
On the other end of the spectrum is Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is, without a doubt, the best photo editing software on the market today because of the large amount of features that it offers but it does carry a pretty hefty price tag. Adobe Photoshop can easily run you into the thousands, even if you are able to purchase the Student/Teacher edition at a discount. The upside is that Adobe allows you to use Adobe Photoshop for 30 days for free with absolutely no restrictions. If you have a couple of grand to spend then try it out and see if you like it.
Another program to consider is Photoshop Elements which is a stripped down version of Photoshop. Recent upgrades to Photoshop Elements allow for ease of use and more compatibility with newer versions of Windows. One of the cool features that Photoshop Elements offers is Before and After, which shows you how your picture will look once you have applied an effect without actually having to commit to that effect.
The best photo editing software that I have found is Photo Editor X because it offers a long list of features at an extremely low price. One of the best features of Photo Editor X is that this photo editing software also includes step by step videos which will show you everything that you need to know about editing photos.
