Question by cinilak: Will a USB portable hard drive work with a digital picture frame that has a usb socket?
I know a usb flash drive would, but I just wondered if a usb HD could do the same. Thanks for any help

Should do, as long as you have the pictures in the right directory structure as required by the frame (i.e. probably in the root).

    I would say depends on your Hard Drive and Picture Frame. Some hard drives may require more then the picture frame produces. If your hard drive is self powered, meaning has its own AC adapter, then you should be OK.

    If you plug it in and hear a clicking sound, then I would say it did not have enough power.

    Finally larger hard drives may be formatted with NTFS (or ext3) and your picture frame may only see FAT/FAT32 file systems.
